Toothless wonder

Last night we went to the airport to meet Jordan and Kristen. Taylor was excited to see them and doing a kind of skating shuffly thing when she fell and smacked her face. There was a lot of blood and crying. Her left middle tooth was bent back. During all this commotion Quinten wandered off for a split second. There was a bit of a panic but he was found. We took Taylor to Children's where they sedated her and removed the tooth. Who would have thought we would be needing to talk about the tooth fairy to a 3 year old. The nurses had a really hard time getting the iv in. At one point there was 4 of us trying to hold her down. After attempt #2 they got in her foot. They administered the drugs and it was freaky to see her like that. Her eyes were open but it was like nobody was there. As she started to come out of it, she was like a drunk 3 year old. So funny. I wish we had it on video. She is a little sore and wants to show everybody her tooth. So don't be alarmed if she shows it to you. She was so brave and only worried about one thing. Would she miss soccer today. She did go to soccer this morning and really impressed us. She was the one kid who picked up the ball. It was great to watch. I hope this makes sense. I'm running on not much sleep. But before I go Happy 90th Birthday Grandma. We love you!

Pictures to follow.

Bitey Mcbiterson

Aka Taylor. Last week she bit Quint on the back. A perfect circular bite mark. Then today I caught her biting his finger. Who knows how many other times she has done this. I'm not sure if it because she is looking for attention. I have been preoccupied with packing and all the other everyday stuff. I'm not sure what to do. I think we will have to move to taking her stuff away because time outs are obviously not working. Any suggestions out there? I've already heard the bite her back and that's not an option. An older person gave me that advice once. Yesterday was the last Tuesday night dinner in this house. It was kind of sad because we didn't have anybody for dinner. Heather was working and we haven't seen or heard from Nathan in a very, very long time. I am looking forward to dinners in the new house and Devin will be here so that means I will actually have to make Tuesday night dinners. Which I love doing. And love having people over. That's all I have for now. Before I end this post I just want to say 5 more days till the big move.

1 week

This week will be pretty busy with the last minute packing. Thank you Steve and Lori for the boxes. We now have enough, if not extra, which is a good thing. Taylor starts soccer on Saturday. Her team name is the Hubba Bubba's. Very appropriate because lately she has loved gum. And 1 week till we move. I can't get over how excited I am to move in.
That's all I have for today. Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Holla!

I want to send a shout out to all my blogging friends and those that don't blog but read them.
Now much except for packing and the last minute signing of documents has happened this week. Can't really go out because of the cold wet/snowy weather. We went for a walk yesterday but that didn't last long. What is up with the weather? It is spring right? That's all I have for now. Maybe something a little more exciting than packing will happen today. Like the Flames winning.

What a good day!

Today has been a great day so far. We got the kids pictures taken, went to Costco (and didn't spend a fortune), then had shawarma's. I have been craving them for the past month or so. It was soooo good. Jordan and Kristen when you guys come we will have to go for some. So yummy. And I haven't even got the shawarma burps yet. And we move in 2 weeks. I can't believe it. It seems like just the other day we were picking everything out. We went through the house on Saturday. It was nice to see everything put together. When we were picking tile, carpet, granite, lino, etc. we didn't jknow how it would look together. I think we did well. Although the counter tops look a little darket to us but it was so long ago we probably just forgot. I think Taylor is now looking forward to moving. Before she didn't want to move, but now is excited to share a room with Quinten. The next 2 weeks will be busy with packing. Speaking of that if anyone has any boxes to give away we will gladly take them off your hands. Well that's all I have for today. Hope everyone is having fabulous Monday and it is sunny where ever you are.

shots and weight

Today is Quinten is 18 months old. He had his shots and was weighed. He is 21 pounds 7 ounces (with his clothes on) and 29 3/4 inches. He's at about the 3rd percentile for his weight and not even on the chart for height. And by not on the chart I mean at the bottom not off the charts at the top. I'm sure that was a given seen as he is a little shorty. Other than that nothing new to say. I've been sick the last couple of days. Makes the packing hard to get done. Hope you all have a fabulous Friday.

A picture says it all

The deal became official today. They had till Monday to meet the conditions but had everything already sorted out so it's a done deal. Let me tell you how relieved I am. I feel so relaxed. The buyers take possesion May 24th. So we will have 2 houses for a month. We've never owned 2 houses at once before. So now we have a little over 3 weeks till we move. Let the packing begin.
Also please keep my friend in your prayers. It sounds like things are not going well at all. Baby A's water broke and there is no sack left. THey are feeling very defeated and frustrated and she feels like her body has let her down. Thanks to all of you who have already said you keep praying for them. I know they appreciate it.

Please Pray for....

friends of ours. Last year they got pregnant but it was ectopic. A result of that bith tubes were removed. They went through invitro and are pregnant with twins. 2 weeks ago her water broke. She was only 19 weeks. She is now on bed rest at the Foothills hospital. She has made it now to 21 weeks and the doctors are hoping to get to 28 weeks. It has been a very long and hard road for them. They don't go to church so I don't what their faith is like. Please remember them in your prayers.
Thank you!

Houdini Part II

This weekend we had 12 showings. So we spent a lot of time away from the house. We thought we had a couple of hours yesterday afternoon before the showings started again, so we got Quint duct taped up and put down for a nap. Well the first clients showed up a half hour early. That's where the scrambling started. I went to get Quinten and he had escaped his duct taping and was playing with poop. Of course this would happen right as we were trying to leave. Thankfully the people were very understanding and let us clean up before coming upstairs. I will be so happy when this house sells. I don't think it is good for the baby to be so stressed out.
Because we had to be out of the house for an extended period of time on Saturday we took a road trip to Drumheller. Taylor was very excited to see the dinosaurs. Actually Quinten liked them too. He kept pointing and saying "wow".
With all the showings it is amazing that we get anything done. Taylor is now registered for soccer starting at the end of the month, I think. She is pretty excited. She keeps asking if we want to be on her team. So cute!
I think that's all I have for now. Once I get the camera from the car I will post pictures from our dinosaur adventure.
