What a weekend

So after spending the afternoon, into the evening, at Urgent care on Friday I was feeling not too bad. Saturday afternoon I started having this pain above my incision, just on the right side. That night I thought I was going to break open. I think I worried Chris because he kept asking if we should go to the hospital. I decided to stay home and go to bed in hopes that would help. No such luck. I still felt pretty crappy and very sore on Sunday morning. Off to Urgent care again. This time my incision had broken open, only in one spot, and was draining blood, pus, and fluid. They gave me a treatment of iv antibiotics and told to come back last night for another treatment. This morning I woke up feeling much better. The 2 iv treatments plus the drainage seemed to help. I still had to go to the home iv clinic where they said I didn't need anymore iv treatments and just to take my oral antibiotic. I also still had to have an abdominal/pelvic ultrasound. Then back to Urgent care to wait in line to get the results. Everything is fine with that. The doc said because of the draining things are looking up. Thank goodness. Now to get back to normal. and tomorrow I have to drive to High River for Spencer's snip.

Hopefully the week gets better from here on out.

How awful! Hopefully you continue to get better. Guess this is another reason why women should stay in the hospital longer than a day after having a baby! Why do you have to drive so far for Spencer's thing? And why did you have to wait so long? Here, if you go home from the hospital and then go back to have it done, it costs $150 extra! Good luck, hope everything goes well with all of you! Take care!

Sorry for the pain and suffering. I know what that is like after having a baby. I had to have breast surgery about a month after having Maya and it was NOT fun! Glad to hear you are getting back to normal though.

Why High River for the circumcision? I thought that up there they did it in the hospital before you take the baby home? If we have a boy, his has to be done at the pediatrician's office no more than a week after the birth. They don't do it in hospitals down here. Of course not because that would mean we would only receive ONE bill not two. UGH! Medical Bills!!!!

who is doing the circumcison in High River? Evan had his done there just before we were discharged from the hospital and Dr. Vyse did it she did a good job. Im sorry to hear about all the pain you have had, it's bad enough just having the c-section but then having it infected, yikes. Hope it heals soon.

I thought circumcisions went out of style in the 80s. Are they still as popular as ever even without being free?

Happy Birthday.
