New Experiment

2 weeks ago I bought some very green bananas thinking in a few days we would be able to enjoy them. They're still green. So now we are going to see how long they will last. Will they rippen or go bad first? Who knows. But now we are curious.

About the same

Spencer will be 5 months either Friday or Saturday, seen as there is no 30th. I had him weighed yesterday. 14 pounds 11 oz and 25 1/2 inches. I thought he was going to be our "big" kid. He's pretty much areound the smae as the other 2. I find it all very interesting. He is a rolling machine. He doesn't crawl yet but has figured out how to roll and roll and roll to get the toy he wants. I love just watching the kids playing and learning all on there own.
We gave in and bought a Wii. One came available to us. Chris and I have a friendly competitive relationship and the Wii is no exception. I suck so he pretty much beats me at everything, but we still have fun trying to beat each other. Taylor loves bowling and Quinten is happy to play with the nunchuk. He thinks he's playing.
That's all for now. I should probably get off my butt and get some laundry done.

Aw Shucks

Thank you to everyone for the encouragment. Desiree is right. It takes those 9 months to put on the weight and it doesn't just magically fall off. Especially when you gain more than 50 pounds. Not sure how that happened. But only 11 to go. So I have to keep that in mind that alot has already come off. Oh the things men don't have to deal with. Better go. I think the Presley boys are here. Have a great day!

I heart shopping..... maybe

Well at least I thought I did. Yesterday Chris and I had an opportunity to go shopping by ourselves (and Spencer). Do you think I could find any clothes? No of course not. Why is it that some people after they have a baby are right back in there "skinny" clothes and they have no extra skin or anything? And then there's people like me who have to work our butt's off, literally, to get back to "normal". Or at least close to normal. It's frustrating but I knowing I'm not in the skinny category I will continue to work at it. It might be slow but I have to keep telling myself it will happen. So maybe in a month I will try the whole shopping thing. I will not give up. I even suggested that I buy a purse. I know.
Tonight a lovely evening was had by all in our scrapbooking group. We made this cool box thing. Thanks Karri for always coming up with cool ideas and all the preparation that goes into it. I think I can speak for our group and say that we don't take you for granted. We definately appreciate it and you.
Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Happy Monday.

Hmmmm.....

What's new in the Lobbster house? Well Spencer is a rolling machine both ways. Can't keep the kid still. He's almost 5 months old and I feel like the time is just flying by. Taylor and Quinten seem to surprise us everyday in what they are learning. And they continue to make us laugh. And Chris is so great. He just asked me if I was at the part where I say that. So that is for you sweetheart.
Yesterday we spent the afternoon/evening with family. A little skating at the lake and then back to our house for special hot chocolate (sweet potato surprise) and pizza. I had a really great time. And Maguire and Taylor didn't get into any kind of trouble. I think it might have been a first. I wish we could spend more time with family. And that's all I have so far.
Hope you all had a great long weekend and a superb week ahead.

Happy Valentine's Day!

So around here it is pretty much just like any other day. I gave the kids and Chris some chocolate. Tonight we are going to have heart shaped pancakes and chocolate covered strawberries. Chris and I normally don't do anything special. Normally he is working the night shift and this is so exception. So today is just an excuse for us to eat like crap. Good thing I worked out this morning.
On a side note in case you haven't noticed but I haven't blogged about poop lately. Today I was feeling on the edge and put Quinks down for his nap sans duct tape. Cross my fingers there isn't a mess when I go get him.
Well I just got Quinten up and I'm happy to report no mess. At least not with poop. The bed is stripped but that is a mess I can clean up. Yeah Quinks!
Well I hope you have a great I love you day!

Picture time

I've been somewhat of a crappy blogger lately. Maybe it's because I wonder if anybody is still reading or even cares to read about my life, for that matter. But I will carry on even if Chris is the only one to read. I haven't posted any pictures lately and thought it was time.
Taylor is big into doing whatever Daddy is doing.

Spencer's 4 month picture. He actually likes being on his tummy. Quinks likes to share everything even if you don't want it. Here is sharing a grape I think. He had already eaten 3 potato pancakes, 2 fruit skewers and in this picture is eating more potato pancakes with the skewers. The kid is an eating machine.

Hope you all have a great week so far and I will try to be a better blogger.

Picture me doing an evil laugh

So my mom got me the Deceptively Delicious cookbook. It's a cookbook that uses vegetable purees. So last week I made up my purees. 5 vegetables in total. I still have more to make. I made hot chocolate for the kids and it uses the sweet potato puree. They had no idea. There's all sorts of great recipes. Chicken nuggets with broccoli puree. Even brownies and cookies. I might just have to make some for our pickier friends. I'm actually pretty excited about it. And today our kids ate potato pancakes. Although no puree hidden in them but still great that they would eat them. Woohoo!
This has nothing to do with what I was just talking about but I rolled all our change and have 3oo dollars. So now I have a Wii fund. All I need to do now is find a Wii. I'm pretty pumped about it. Although little things can make me excited.
The kids are great. Chris is great.

Missing Tuesday night dinners. Hopefully Nathan will come lots and Heather will be able to come more often.
