I Love my kids....

but I get very frustrated with them lately. Like today. We've been letting the kids play in the basement with the scooters and watch the olympics. Taylor thought the tv was in her way and tried moving it. All of a sudden I hear a major crash and go running, where I found the tv screen down smoking and the sound of glass breaking. Luckly nobody got hurt. That tv is very heavy and could have sent a kid to the hospital.
I feel like they are always making a mess and before I get someone saying that I need to be on them about cleaning. I do. I also don't want to be a nag all day. I want to have fun with my kids and not be cleaning constantly. I don't want my kids to remember the cleaning stuff but the fun stuff Mom and Dad do with them.  Maybe one of these days I'll get a handle on it all.
Anyway back to Olympics watching.

I think it would be very hard not to nag them all the time. I get frustrated with myself sometimes and want to enjoy life instead of clean, so I couldn't imagine my plus three others.

that's supposed to say "me, plus three others". I got distracted by the Olympics on TV.

just wanted to say that i can *fully* appreciate what you're going through!!!! nobody told me that '3 is the new 2'. when natalie made it past the age of 2 without much incident, i thought 'what on earth are people talking about with the terrible twos?'. those people failed to mention that it's actually the terrible THREES. like you, i feel like a constant nag and like i will be remembered for nothing but my negativity. however, i am determined to raise nice people and i think sometimes that has to override having fun, as you obviously know. just know that other moms are feeling it too... and it SUCKS. i'm glad to hear that no one got hurt by the falling tv... that would have been horrible. at least there's olympics on to cheer us up right now!!!!!

i'm with heather- i can barely keep track of myself much less me and 3 kids.

sorry things are so frustrating.

I am always the same way, I hope my kids remember fun times and not just nagging, but I also hope that they are learning good cleaning habits, not just nagging habits. It's tough, hang in there. I am a self-proclaimed neat freak, obsessed actually, so it's hard to just leave things messy, but I am learning to let the little things slide, especially with school taking up so much of our time together now.
