1 week gone

Well it's been 8 days since Spencer was born. We've had a whirl wind of visitors. And a very busy weekend visiting with Jordan and Kristen. It was really great to see you guys. Looking forward to Christmas. So far I think that the jump from 1 to 2 kids is easier. I've had a wicked headache sincecoming home from the hospital. it is a side affect of the anemia that has got me again. At least we caught it early. So that could be why I am finding it harder to deal with 3 kids. I'm sure as the weeks go by we will all adjust, and the temper tantrums will lessen. I seriously thought that Taylor was possessed one night. I've never seen her like that.
I have such a wonderful husband. He has taken up all the duties that I usually do. He has been amazing. I can't say it enough how much I appreciate him. I Love You Chris!
I'll be sure to the updates a little more regular.
Hope you all had a great long weekend and ate lots of turkey.

I once saw the parents of 8 kids interviewed on tv.
And apparently the transition from 1 to 2 is hard, 2 to 3 is hard and after 3 you don't even notice. According to them there is no real difference between having 3 kids and having 8 kids - the amount of work is the same (in case you were planning on having 5 more kids... no?)

And Happy Thanksgiving!

Awww, it's hard enough trying to adjust to three kids without having to deal with pain on top of it. Hope you feel better soon! I agree that going from one to two kids is easy, but once you get the hang of the three, it really is do-able! I manage so you will do just fine.

Congratulations Lobbsters! I am so sorry that we did not join you all Saturday for Thanksgiving - thank you Faye & Randy for the invite! We have had a rough couple of weeks with Kevin's mum being in the hospital (she's home now) and living out in the mountains. The thought of having to drive into the city on a day that was not planned had us both shivering in our timbers.

A woman in my singing group has 6 children now (Leonard is about 6 months old) and SHE HOME SCHOOLS THEM ALL!!! Yes, I do wonder about her sanity. However, she is a wonderful woman and I thoroughly enjoy her family and her.

I do want to see this new Lobbster. You are lucky to have all of them: Monster major, monster minor and now Spencer! Chris, I am impressed. I tried my best when I was in the same situation, but we were a different generation. I did, however, spend a year at home with Kristen (from 1 - 2) voluntarily. I would have done the same with Heather if we hadn't decided to separate instead. Couldn't afford two homes on one salary.

Spencer must have brought you new meanings - yet again - to Thanksgiving. I'm glad you are all healthy. Take lots of iron and I will envision you with no headaches!

Dr. Dan!
