Today is one of those days. Being tired never helps. Quinten's behaviour is frustrating me. Over the last few weeks it has been the worst. I know he's just testing the boundaries but I've had enough. Nothing I seem to do makes him stop. You would think emptying his room of everything but a bed, dresser, pillow and blanket would have taught him. But no you'd be wrong. I'm sticking to my guns and hopefully soon he'll take me serious and know who the boss is. Soon he'll have nothing to play with. It'll make cleaning up easier if there aren't any toys. :)
And I want to say Happy Father's day to my very best friend! You are an amazing Dad who takes the time to be with your kids. And to my Dad who without I would not be who I am today.
My parents have been a great help to us lately by watching the kids when we have to work. I wish I were rich to be able to pay you back for all time. Just know that what you do for us is not taken for granted. Thank you so much! Words are not enough.

I hope you know that we love being with our Grandkids. It isn't a chore, it's a privilege. Every parent needs time away from them, and it gives the kids a new perspective too.We love you. Hope today is a better day.
Way too often I have days like that too. It doesn't help that the sun never seems to shine, so outside play is rare. Hoping today is a better day for you, and hoping it keeps getting better.
Check out Gordon Neufeld. He's a developmental psychologist with an incredible parenting philosophy. It's all about attachment based parenting and it's mind blowing.
With all due respect, what you're doing clearly isn't working. So try something new.
Please know that it is incredibly detrimental to use the things your son cares about against him. The ONLY thing you'll achieve through that one day he won't care anymore. When children stop caring it's a big big deal - because among other things - where will you go from there? When you can't take away his favorite toys or a favorite activity to make him listen to you, what next?
Check out Neufeld. It has absolutely changed our world and our parenting and our relationship with our children.
