So I had big plans for the weekend. Chris was away in Lethbridge for a hockey tournament and I would finally have a vehicle to go around in. We had plans to meet up with a friend of mine to shopping and have lunch on Saturday. And of course church on Sunday, and Sundae Sunday after church.
We were already to go to the mall. I could not find the car key anywhere. Yes we have only one. The pathfinder only came with one and we have been to cheap to get another one. They aren't cheap. Chris always keeps the key in his jacket pocket because he is the one who drives most of the time. Well he had taken the key with him to Lethbridge. So I had the car but no key. And this happened after I asked him Thursday if he remembered to leave me the key. ( He was going ice fishing with work.) HE said to me then, "I'm not stupid I know to leave the key." He now knows why I give him friendly reminders. Sometimes we women know our men more than they do. So needless to say he has some making up to do. And last night I didn't have to change a single diaper. I think I can milk this for awhile. So now I am back to being stuck in the house. Although I think I will make him come to Costco with me tonight. And I get the car tomorrow because of 10% Tuesday. Yeah!
Hope ya'll had a good weekend.

Jeremy did that to me once. He took my keys to work with him and didn't even know it. He had them in his coat pocket. Why are men so forgetful?
Maybe he actually kept the key in order to keep you from roaming the city, recklessly spending money on items that women somehow deem "necessary"!!!
It doesn't exactly take a great actor to say "Oops, sorry sweetie. I totally forgot I had the key".
Hmmmmmm...what a smart fella!!
Starting a sentence with, "I'm not stupid..." will always come back to haunt you.
Oh No Kirst, so how did your weekend go? Did you stay in all weekend, does your mom have car seats for the kids too?
Ooooh I would have been so mad. Once I thought my husband took my keys to work(even though we have our own vehicles), and I was so mad at him that I called his work to yell at him only to find them on the top of the fridge. Ooops, but that isn't where they go!!!
I was pretty mad. And when I get mad I cry. There was a lot of crying happening. I was crying, Taylor was crying. My parents only have one car seat so that didn't help. We spent the weekend at home. We went for a walk but other than that we did what we alsways do, stay at home.
I wish I'd known. I have a car seat and a booster. I would have picked you up. I cry when I'm mad/sad/glad/happy/etc.........
By the way, the house I was telling you about was listed at $850 not $580, and it's sold but I don't know what they got. [I'm slighly dyslexic when it comes to numbers].
I have to say...I would have been pretty upset. I'm sure it will never happen again. He'd have to be pretty stupid to do it twice (right Chris...someone had to say it)
It reminds me of the several times that Heather went to high school with the car key and left me car-less and unable to get to university. (god forbid i take the bus apparently)
I think she once told her teacher she had a "family matter" to take care of and had her friend drive her home to bring me the key.
Alright. Since I'm the one getting trashed here I had to get on to defend myself. YES it was my fault that I took the keys OK, however I had them because I just gassed, washed, topped up all the fluids, and cleaned out the vehicle so that she wouldnt have to all week end. Thats all I got. The appologies continue. To Kirstens credit, she left the vehicle in the same pristine condition in which I left it to her. Almost like it had never beed used. HAAAAA I love you honey. Are we even yet????
Not even close to being even. I'll let you know when we are even. It possibly could take awhile. I won't collect all at once.
I'm on your side brother!!
Hey lady he knocked you up again in record time!!! That's gotta count for somethin!!!
Maybe he forgot the key, but he's got some kinda magic sperm!!!!
Give the guy a break.
AK
AWWW, he should earn some points for prepping the vehicle for you like that:) And Andrew has a point on the baby making!!
not to mention the mini fridge didnt take another hit while you were away chris
umm... I don't really think one partner deserves more credit than the other partner when it comes to a pregnancy. And if one partner is going to be taking more credit, it certainly shouldn't be the man.
Kirst I think I can actually come to dinner tomorrow!!!!! Could it be true?
