A first

I took the kids to the mall to pick up Spencer's pictures. My kids were so good. No whining, no fighting, no asking for stuff, no crying and they sat and ate their lunch without me bugging them to eat and no running away from me. I noticed this older lady (probably in her 70's) watching us. As I was getting the kids ready to keep shopping she passed by and told me I had very well behaved children and I'm doing a good job. That just topped off my day. I am having such a great day. Just finished a great run. Grey's is on tonight. A blizzard would be great to top off the evening but I don't think that is going to happen. I'll leave you with Spencer's pictures.

I heart flyers

I really do love getting flyers. When we moved into this house we didn't get any. I was slightly disappointed. In the old house I would love to look outside on Thurs and Sunday's. (Flyer days)
I know I'm weird. Because we moved onto a street that was still in the works they won't deliver flyers. I guess the whole street has to be finished to get them. I guess our street is done enough because you guessed it we got a nice compact bundle of flyers yesterday. Now that I've bored you all.
This week seemed to fly by. The kids went with Grumpy and Nana to the Wiggles. Taylor has seen them before but not Quinks. They loved it. I pretty much had to tear them from the ceiling they were jump around so much with excitment. Then Sarah was born. So exciting. What a beautiful baby. Thanks guys for the snuggles. You're already making 3 look easy. And of course the snow will NOT stop. Ah spring in Alberta. And that brings us to today. What to do? I'm sure we'll find something. Have a great Monday. Mine is apparantely starting with temper tantrums. Good times.

Just say no to eggs

Well tried having a poached egg again. Yuckarama. Must have been a fluke that I liked it. I will resume eating my eggs either scrambled or in omelet form.

Now for the important stuff. Spencer has finally cut his first tooth. And he is a biter, Yowza. He is now army crawling, backwards crawling and getting up on his knees. I'm sure by the end of the week he will be almost real crawling.

Taylor and Quinten continue to amaze me with what they are learning. If you get a chance ask Taylor to tell you some knock, knock jokes. This is one of our favorites. (the joke was originally told to me by Steve. Thanks Steve we've really enjoyed it.)

Knock, Knock!
Who's there?
Pile up.
Pile up who.
HeeHeeHee!

I know I'm such a kid.

Well I am going to get back to the hockey game. Happy Monday!

I hate eggs

Okay so maybe hate is a strong word. I dislike them very much. I will eat them scrambled or in an omelete. Other than that blech. I think it is the yoke that I dislike so much. Yet today Chris gave me a taste of his poached egg and I liked it. I liked it so much that I had him make me one. It's so weird. Normally I would have gagged. I must just have been in the mood for it. Not sure it will be a regular occurance.

Swapping P words

We no longer are having poop issues with Quinten, thankgoodness. We now are having puke issues. Thankfully it is baby puke but it still stinks and stains. Therefore we have been going through a lot of prosolve and baby wipes. My favorite are the baby wipes. They get the job done and are handy. A little costly but great cleaner uppers. (I know I can't really say that.)And because of the puke we have a 4 year old gagger. I think she has her Dad's stomach. It could be just drool and she is gagging.

In other news Spencer got himself up on his knees and is skooching backwards. He's growing up too fast. I don't think it will be long before he is full on crawling. He wants to keep up with his sister and brother. It's kind of sad to know that this is the last for us.

It's back

I routinely check Shaw on Demand to see if Dexter is back on. Chris says I'm obsessed. Well my obsession with the show has paid off. I just checked and it's back. And of course I ordered the last episode right away so that when Chris gets home tonight we can watch it. I'm pretty excited. I know some of you must think I'm a freak. Woohoo!

God is Good

One of the blogs I have been reading is about a husband and his wife, who has cystic fibrosis. They also have a baby girl who was born 24 weeks early. His wife has been waiting for a double lung transplant. They just posted that his wife has been taken down to the OR for her transplant. Please pray for them right now.

Oh Dexter....

how I long to watch you. Recently Chris and I have been watching the tv series Dexter. On Shaw on demand it is unedited and free, and we can also watch them whenever we want. Or so we thought. There are 24 episodes and on Saturday night we watched episode 23. Chris fell asleep so I didn't think it would be fair to order the 24th one and watch without him. Sunday we went to order the last episode and it is gone from shaw on demand. In hind sight I should have ordered it and we could have then watched it. (Once you order you have 24hours to watch.) NOw I am on the hunt for it. If I have to buy the series I will. I even looked again today to see if maybe they put it back on. No such luck. I was really into the show. Very dissapointed am I.
Today was vaccination day for Taylor and Spencer. Taylor was adament that she would not be getting a needle. Well she was right about a needle. She was lucky enough to get 2. Boy did she fight it. For a little girl she sure is strong. Spencer wasn't too thrilled about his either but it didn't help that the poor kid is sick. Spencer weighs in at 15 lbs 7 oz and 25 and 3/4 inches. Taylor is 35 lbs and 39 1/2 inches.
Last night we had a little camp out in the bonus room. The kids thought it was so great. (Taylor's words.) We had Subway up there and for those that know we don't let them eat on the carpeted areas very often. That in its self is a treat. THey got to have chips and pop, in the can. Another treat. THen had banana boats. Yummy! I think the kids liked having the whipping cream sprayed in their mouths better than the banana boats. We then watched a movie and all slept out on the floor. I didn't have a great sleep. It was the one night that Spencer got up lots. The kids slept great though. They had so much fun they asked if we could do it again tonight.
That's all for now. Who knows what the next days ahead hold in store.
