Bad run

I've been running again. Training for a race actually. I've had some great runs the last few weeks. Knees have been feeling great. Then I go today and wham it's super crap. Had to walk a bunch. I was very discouraged. How will I run a super long distance if I can't run 10k. I realize I've been able to run farther but it is amazing how 1 run can make me feel so upset. Thankfully I have a very supportive and encouraging husband who calms me down and reminds me that tomorrows run will be better. Everyone has bad running days so I have to keep telling myself that.

Anyway. Kids are great. Although I wish they would clean up better. I'm in a throw stuff out kind of mood so they better watch out if they don't clean up. :) Speaking of cleaning I should probably go tidy up my stuff (laundry). Gotta set a good example.

Before I go one last thing. Spencer has been talking up a storm and it is nice now that he can express himself, like last night. Around 9 he stopped in his tracks and said, "My tummy hurts". You might be thinking okay great Kirsten thanks for telling us this. Let me tell you it saved me a lot of clean up. Because he can talk I was able to only get half the puke on the carpet. Tile is much easier to clean up. Poor kid. Feels good today. Hopefully it was a freak thing for him and we all don't get something AGAIN.

Goodnight!

Were you not the person who agreed that the bad runs make you stronger on Heather's "lead legs" post? Remember that!
So many things contribute to bad runs...most of which have nothing to do with running. So learn from it and then forget about it. And if all else fails, smile about the fact that you got to get outside and have a few minutes to yourself :)

I hope Spence feels better soon. And enjoy the weekend :)

I had a terrible run yesterday too, and I had to walk a lot. I wasn't really feeling it to start, then some dog ran up to me and jumped on my foot, which made my shoe filthy, muddy, and soaking wet. I wasn't happy.

But, today is a new day. And truthfully, I would say 1 out of every 3 runs I go on sucks a little.

I can't wait to come visit soon. My schedule is just ALL over the place.

Tomorrow is a new day. Don't "sweat" the small stuff as my mom used to say. Life has ups and downs but then we can start a new day. Good luck on your next run.
