A firsts kind of weekend

Friday night Taylor went to her first birthday party, without us. She did great. Chris said she was a little apprehensive at first but was fine. He took her down to that party. Surprise, surprise stuff like that is hard for me. (Sorry Nathan) Then Saturday she played soccer without Chris having to be by her side the whole time. Boy did she make us proud. No crying, nothing like that. She did however pick at the grass and picked dandelions for her coaches. Such a caring kid. Then today Chris gave Quint his first at home haircut. I think Chris has a new career if he ever wants a change. And it actually turned out better than the last couple of haircuts he's had at the salon. Buying the clippers is going to be an investment. Taylor wanted her haircut but not with scissors. She will probably continue to go to Beaners. And this evening we had a nice visit with Joy and Darrin. Good job on the win Joy. (Weplayed Settlers). A good time was had by all.
We had a good weekend I hope you all did too.
On a side note our couches come tomorrow. Then I think I can post pictures of our house.
Till then I will leave you with a few haircut pics.
Pre haircut

He didn't seem to mind the clippers but really didn't like the scissors. He sat way better for Chris than at Beaners. Post home haircut

I too do the home haircutting!!

Of course it's only ever on myself, and really how challenging is it to shave it down to the wood!!!

Wow impressive, that is a great hair cut! I really should learn how to do hair cuts for the men in my family since their hair grows so fast!

And how cute that Taylor picked flowers for her coaches, even if they were dandelions. My kids pick those for me too, but hey it's the thought that counts.
