It's about 5 to 7am and yes I am up. Not sure why. Chris got up and I could be going back to sleep but no I'm wide awake. Maybe I should take the time to do more laundry. Nah not a good option. Or maybe I'll go lay on the couch and catch up on all the shows we pvr'd while away.
Any big plans for the long weekend? Not much here. Maybe some deck board screwing.
This is our life. Taylor is 8, Quinten is 5 and Spencer is 4. We are so blessed to have 3 great kids. I thank God for them everyday.

Back Ater
We got back yesterday from a 2 and half weeks vacation. It was a fun, family, screaming, pooped, filled vacation. I just can't seem to get away from people trying to parent us or the poop. Taylor and Spencer had been sick when we left and it continued for the first few days of our trip, at least for Taylor. Quinten then got sick our first night. Let's just say over the last couple of weeks we threw out 7 pairs of underwear and 1 bathing suit. And did multiple loads of laundry.
On our first night Spencer decided that screaming might be fun. At supper a very drunk lady told him to shut up just loud enough for the kids to hear. She then asked us to get him to stop and asked why he was screaming, well Chris being Chris told her we asked him but he didn't answer us, go figure he's 1 1/2. She then told us that we shouldn't go out with him and we should stay home. And that she had 2 one year olds and they never screamed. Well good for you lady go have another. The screaming continued for the whole trip but at least we didn't get parented for it.
It was great to have a week just us a family and then the rest with friends and family in Penticton. Gotta love the close to 40 degree weather. Oh how I miss that.
It is good to be home and getting back into the swing of things. Once I get a good handle on the laundry I'll post pictures

Not much new here
I wish I had something exciting to write like going to see Kenny Chesney, but I don't. I do know lots of people that do get to see Kenny. Luckys. Instead my day and night are filled with packing and that type of stuff that goes with getting ready for a vacation.
It's now 10:15 pm and I started this post awhile ago and am just now getting around to finishing it.
Why is it that when trying to pack a curve ball gets thrown? What is with my kids and their poop issues? Whether it's playing with it or having an accident or a poop explosion while trying to wash the truck. Yep you guessed it. Luckly no poop on the carseat. So one last load of laundry (fingers crossed).
The kids are still awake. I'm thinking they are pretty excited about going camping. Tomorrow, hopefully before noon, the Lobbster Shack will be peeling out of town. Look out open road here we come. I would really like to leave no later than 10am but if you know us we like to sleep in so it could be hard getting everyone going.
Hopefully I'll be able to post while we are away. If I can't please don't forget about me. I'll be back and hopefully with lots of good stories and pictures to match.
Now back to the packing. Phew!

Butt Kicking
That's what I need. We leave for our holidays on Saturday and I'm just not ready, at all. With Taylor being sick and Spencer having diarrhea plus a wicked diaper rash, I'm having a hard time keeping up with the regular laundry. Hopefully tonight I'll get it under control so that I can actually pack. Good thing the trailer is stocked with everything but a few last minute additions. And then I need to vacuum and clean the bathrooms. Oh and I can't forget to clean out the truck. Might as well start with a clean slate.
Question of the day: What are you doing for summer holidays?

Please no sharing Taylor, at least this time
My girl is sick. Last night she woke up with hives on her chest and back which moved up onto her face and behind her ears. Nothing a little Benadryl and calamine lotion couldn't fix. Then she woke up with a sore tummy. Which was then followed by....well you know. That wasn't going to stop her from going to gymnastics today. It must have been enough to stop her half way cause I got the come pick me up call. Poor kid is like her mama and doesn't want to just lay around but it's what is best. Let's hope she doesn't share these germs. It could make for an interesting start to our vacation.
My question for today is when loading a dishwasher which way do you put the cutlery in? Pokey parts up or down? We're a down family, but someone put some sharp knives up and I almost stabbed myself reaching in. Another reason, as well as others, that we put them down.
Happy Hump day!

Argh!
Do I look like someone who can't parent? Maybe to some but I think I do a pretty good job. So why is it that when I'm right there with my kids others feel the need to parent them. Especially with things we let them do. I know I'm not a perfect parent but seriously let me do it. I could go on and on but I won't. I'll just leave it at that and wait to hear what some of you think.
As a side note I 2 really good runs this week. Yesterday's was especially good because Taylor came on her bike. Loved that time with her.
We also found out today that Taylor has an appointment with an ENT Doctor the middle of August. Hopefully we'll get some answers regarding her hearing.

Whirlwind Weekend
It seems as though the weekend has come and gone. Where did the days go? I'm feeling listy as my sis in law put it.
Friday got up way too early to see the Stampede Parade. So worth it though to see our kids so happy. And I'm happy to report there was no fussing or fighting, even though the kids were super tired. It was the best outing yet.
Friday night hubs and I went to the Stampede grounds. The food always looks and tastes so good but the next day we were paying for it. That grease really does a number on the ol' system.
Saturday was our Church's Stampede bbq and concert. The musical guest was quite sick so I was asked so nicely by my Dad if I would fill in last minute. I thought it went well with only 2 days notice.
Sunday was church in the morning, sang again. Got to see my cuz and his wife. Taylor went to a beach birthday party. Fun was had by all.
And now need to get ready for a date night. So much excitement in such a short time. It feels good to get out after the exhausting week.
Even with all the busyness I still managed to clean up pee off the kitchen table. Might be time to start the potty training process. I'm getting sick of cleaning up, the playing with poop and pee messes. And cleaned up more poop. It's all part of parenting right? Someone out there must know what I am dealing with.
Well I'm off to get all gussied up. Happy Monday to y'all! (in Stampede spirit)

Woke up on the wrong side of the....
Bed should be the right answer but sadly not this morning. I had a super crappy sleep, or lack of sleep because of allergies. So I slept on the couch. You see I'm allergic to ragweed and I'm sure our neighbours have it in their backyard. I should really take a picture of their yard because it is so bad. They don't have grass just giant weeds that keep getting bigger and are now creeping into our yard. And the weed seeds are blowing onto our grass. So frustrating. And we are not the type of neighbours to go complain but something has to be done so I'll volunteer Chris for the job. :) So do you think I can blame my irritability on my neighbours? Naw didn't think so.
So the lack of sleep has made me kind of grouchy. I feel like I've been yelling at the kids all day and if I'm not yelling I'm crying because I feel bad for yelling. Such a cycle. Thank goodness Chris has a few days off. And we get to have a date night. That always makes me feel better. Bolero here we come. Yes Kristen we are finally able to use the gift card. Every time we've tried it just hasn't worked out.
Tomorrow is the Stampede Parade. YAHOO! Kids are excited not sure they will be when we have to get up at a time nobody should be up at. It's probably not that early for some but our family likes to sleep in.
And before I go I hope no one was offended by my previous post. It was meant in good fun.

PBF-Men might not want to read
Here it is. But where to start.
I was never, shall we say, well endowed. The breast fairy did not give me a lot. I used to hate being so small. And then I got pregnant and man oh man was I happy. I wasn't huge but I could finally fill out a top nicely. I never lost the big nursing boobs till about 5 months ago. (I had them for about 5 years. ) Spencer stopped nursing 3 months ago but it was like someone had popped 2 balloons and they were now hanging from me. And then when he stopped all together it was like that last little bit of air left. I can't imagine what will happen when all the milk is gone. I was always fine with my small boobs but now there is no substance to them. Empty sacks of skin. Chris and I have seriously talked about me getting a breast augmentation, if we can afford it one day. So for now I will continue to wear bras that help lift and add a bit. And there are always the chicken cutlets.
