I loves Chocolate

Last night, at church, was a death by chocolate event. Everybody was to bring a chocolate something and there was a chocolate fountain. Everything was so good. I hadn't really eaten very much yesterday because of the ol' braces, so i didn't feel too guilty about indulging. As things were winding up, some of the kids came downstairs. One of those kids being mine. I could not pry her away from the chocolate fountain. I think we have fondue too much because she knew just what to do. Dip in the fruit and tap off the excess. Everyone that was left was so amazed at how much she ate. They all thought we were in for a long night of no sleep. She went right to sleep and she even slept in this morning. So chocolate before bed from now on.
I was reading Liz and K's blogs this aft. They were taking about getting their first Starbucks festive drink for the season. I said to myself, self you need an eggnog latte. Off I went all excited for my first festive drink of the season. No such luck. The barista informed me they can't sell them till Wednesday. She didn't know why others were able to. So I had to get a pumpkin spice latte. Don't get me wrong they are good but they stain the elastics on my braces a nice orange color. So Wednesday is the day. Joy lets do coffee that day.
That's all for now. Quinten is still sick and Taylor is being her usual goofy self.
Later!
Peace out!

I saw the gingerbread syrup, i saw the red sprinkles...I just went up and ordered and no one even blinked. Perhaps you just had a hard-ass as a barista. Regardless, it will make that first egg-nog latte of the season that much sweeter.

Don't you realize how gross a chocolate fountain is? I'm not even talking about the choclate, which I'm not a fan of, but I'm talking about the disgusting bacteria and germs from everyone else dipping their fruit and skewers. Then they double dip, or even stick their fingers in it. The whole thing disgusts me. Same goes for any buffet item.

A year ago my first thought upon reading this post would have been "cool, a chocolate fountain!!", however, today my first thought was "oh, D. would not approve of that". He has forever ruined communal chocolate for me.

You can for sure get christmas drinks. That barista was probably too lazy to make your eggnog latte. You should get a free one next time!!

Kirsten, I love you, I love Starbucks, I love Christmas but I hate eggnog. Can we still be friends. I'll just stick to the norm or maybe even pumpkin spice.

I gotta say though, I agree with Devo about the whole chocolate fountain thing, especially after seeing them add all the oil to it!

Adding oil to the chocolate is very common, it helps to thin it out so it flows nicely. It's the same as adding cocoa butter but it's probably actually better for you.

After thinking about it and reading everyones comments. Yeah chocolate fountains can be gross but they do taste so good. I'm glad I didn't have too much. I didn't know that oil gets added. Gross I hate oil.

I don't eat chocolate and the thought of it right now is sort of making my stomach turn. I also don't drink anything with caffeine or coffee, etc., but I do love Starbucks because I have finally found a place that sells hot drinks that aren't coffee or hot chocolate. I love their vanilla cremes!
