Monster Lamp

Lately I have been so tired. It's like we have a newborn in the house the amount of times we are getting in the night. Nobody is even sick, just scared. It started with Taylor wanting the door left a little bit open then even more open, to the hall light needing to be left on, ALL NIGHT. Then she progressed to waking up a few times in the night sleep walking as well as being scared of the monsters in her room. She ends up freaking out and screaming really quite loud. Which wakes up Quinten and now 2 kids are up screaming. Good times. Even better times when Chris is working overtime or gets called out. So last night we decided that a new special monster repellent lamp was in order. She wanted a little mermaid one but because both kids are going to be sharing a room in the next house the lamp had to be a bit more manly. I know it doesn't look manly with the purple feathery stuff on it. It will do though. So far so good. She is convinced that it is keeping the monsters away. So now we should all get the rest we need.
Nothing much has been happening in our household lately. Chris is in the home stretch with the basement. And our new house has a roof, windows and doors. No picture. Didn't have the camera.
The kids are doing well and keeping us entertained.
Well that's all for now. Tomorrow is a day of trying new recipes and my new kitchenaid. I'll keep you all posted on how that goes. Cause I'm sure you're dying to find out.:)
Later!
Peace out!

That's a great idea! I will have to keep that in mind for when Maya gets older.

How many bedrooms will you have in your new house? A lot of people are putting their children in the same room these days. I never really thought about doing that but if we have more than 2 kids it is very possible that it will have to happen.

Can't wait to hear about your cooking. I am terrible!!!

I cannot imagine trying to get both my kids to sleep in the same room. That would be stressful. That's one of the reasons we moved.

That's cute... I hope the furry purple will help her sleep better. I wish I could come for dinner tonight, but alas, I can't. Boo.

Well let me be brutally honest with you...I care a lot about many things in your life, but your Kitchenaid is not one of them!!!

So until I've eaten something that was made with it, I'll continue to not care about it...(so make something and invite me over, hint hint)

So Kirten, I was redaing Beths blog tonight, and I was wondering if maybe, just maybe you had some news you'd like to share??? By the way what a great idea to keep the monsters away. I hope it works and you all sleep well tonight.

Well, I am wondering why on earth you would put your kids in the same room unless for obvous reasons you know like a new baby.

Love the lamp-you are such a clever mom.

Your kitchenaid, it must be dreamy. I am drooling a bit, but only a bit.

I was just sending baby making wink winks to kirst, that's all! she is just closer to the possibility of #3 than I am, other than our scare, Logan is only 5 months and I would not plan to try for #3 yet.
sorry Kirst!
