Tree cutting adventure

So yesterday Chris phoned me and said we are going to cut down our Christmas tree this year. He has wanted to do this for a long time but the kids have been too small. We also had not taken our family photo for our Christmas card so we thought we could shoot 2 birds with one stone. So Chris found out where we had to go and it turned out to be around Cochrane. At least that's what he told me. Well it turns out this tree place was about 1 1/2 hours away. It took us an hour and a half once we got there, got our permit, got the kids dressed and got on our way to cutting down the perfect Christmas tree, and then back to the car. Mean while the kids start crying while Chris and Nathan are off scouting things out. Next year we will be more well prepared like taking a sled for the kids. The tree is sure different than the ones we have bought in the past. I will post a picture after we decorate it. I have to admit that I got a little grumpy once the kids got grumpy. But now I look back and am happy that we did it.

having to deal with two crying kids (probably with runny noses ;-) whilst still being cold yourself is enough to make anyone a little grumpy. next time, bring an eggnog latte in a nice thermal cup so that anytime you are starting to get a little grumpy, you can take a sip of cheer.

Not to worry Nathan about the picture. We are using the one where everybody is looking at the camera. It looks really good. And we changed it to black and white.

Awesome you guys decided to cut your own tree this year. I am excited to do it as well, I have never done it before. Chris used to with his family when he was a kid. Fun times.

Oh and can you email me your address? I need it so I can send you guys a Christmas card.
