Our tree

A couple of before pictures. It kind of looks like somebody just found a tree and placed in our great room.

And now a little decorating and the finished product. Chris did say he wouldn't mind if we got rid of this tree and went and got our usual. I said no because we got this tree as a family and it's our tree this year. What we need to do is find a tree cutting down place that has actual Christmas trees.

My husband and I cut down our own trees the first couple of Christmases in our house. They looked alright outside in the forest, but once we took them home they were pretty, well um... ugly. They were definetely Charlie Brown Christmas trees, much worse than yours. I think yours is kind of nice, it's a little more plush than ours. And you are right, it was a family thing so that makes it mean more.

I bet it smells great. Looks good to me.

It actually doesn't smell at all. We totally thought it would. We're a bit disappointed because that is the best part about having a real tree.

Sorry, but that's one of the funniest christmas trees I've seen. I agree with you though, you got it as a family and that's what counts. You'll have to get some of that pine-scented spray or maybe a scented candle to provide the "real tree" smell.

Lynn said we can get a real tree this year, but we're going to buy one someone else cut down.

kris, you clearly have not seen the trees my mother buys...

kirst, i like it! who wants a perfectly groomed christmas tree anyway? (ok, i probably do, but i have this thing about symmetry...)

too bad it doesn't smell, I agree that's the best part. As long as the kids love the tree (which in their innocence it's probably perfect) then that's all that matters hey? Merry Christmas!

When I saw the first picture the first thing I thought was "Wow, what a trendy little tree!" With it all lit up, it looks even trendier! You could possibly have the most unique tree on your block. Be proud...it looks great!

We BOUGHT ours last year! Perhaps in a few years we will start chopping down trees, but Maya is far to young to even know what Tradition is right now. I'll be lucky to get her to unwrap her presents...haha!
