Pool time

As you can see we need to get a bigger pool. We tried to get a new one today but I guess because it has been so hot there are none to be found. Although we did only go to one store today. QuinQuin wasn't too happy with the whole pool experience. I think Taylor ruined it for him by dumping buckets of water over his head when he first got in. Yep we need a bigger pool.
It was nice to finally be able to sit in our backyard and have some privacy. Nost neighbours weren't home so that helps.

Picture time

Starting from the top left is a booger picture. You can't really tell how big it is by the picture but it was impressive. The others are just fun pictures. The boy trying to be tall and Taylor being a little goof ball as usual. We love them so much. More pics to come.

Cheerios & Poop

Nope not cherrios and poop together. It started with me having a really crappy sleep last night. Jimmy crazy legs decided to make an apperance. So therefore I was really tired today. I was dozing on the couch and woke up to find Taylor nowhere in sight. I found her in our bedroom with Cherrios all over the floor and bed. To top it all off it was the end of the bag so all the cereal dust was on our duvet. Then as Heather and I were going for slurpees tonight, I told Chris that QuinQuin had pooped. He obviously didn't hear me because I found him in the jumperoo with poop leaking out of his shorts onto the jumperoo. Of course I was the one to clean it up. At least it wasn't all over the floor this time. We didn't do much today. Too tired and hot.

You asked for it

I've been asked lately where the poop stories are. Well here is one for you. It seems as though Quinten is not feeling so good. He has had diarreha all day. One of the times he exploded all over the floor and I didn't realize it till it was too late. I picked him up on thought it was odd that I had a wet arm. That led to me to find it on the carpet and kitchen floor. Because he is moving so much, he just spread it around. After I got the boy cleaned up it was time to tackle the floor. Well that is when I slipped in it. Luckly my clothes didn't get dirty but my feet and legs did. So there you have it a poop story. And that pretty much was the excitment for the day.

Over the Hedge

I took Taylor to her first movie this afternoon. She really impressed me. She sat still for the first half and the sat on the stairs for almost all of the rest. One point she wanted to sit on my lap. I don't think I have ever seen her sit that still, ever. She didn't even finish her pop and popcorn. What is up with that? She must be feeling well for her to give up junk food. We had a good time together. We both need the time with just the 2 of us. I haven't had a chance to spend alot of one on one time her lately. The next movie we'll see is Cars. I even found a bathing suit.

On the bathing suit subject. I decided to go a different route. I got a couple of those surfer tops and bikini bottoms, and a one piece. Maybe by the end of our trip I will wear a regular bikini top but who knows. The ol body just isn't the same anymore. Up will sum it up in one word. STRETCHY. Who knew a body could stretch that much. Anyway all in all these have been a couple of great days. We are off to the city north of us. Hopefully we can hook up you Edmontonians. How's Sunday? I'll call you.

Later.

Little Girl!

Taylor calls that little blue haired thing her little girl. (Picture her saying girl with a little accent.)
She wouldn't be too happy knowing QuinQuin was eating her. I hope I don't find anything like that in his poop.

What is that?

I'm not sure what she thinks this is, but an instrument it is not. Chris thought it looked like a bong of some sort. She better not know what one of those is, ever.

New Pics

I haven't posted any pictures lately so here are a few.
A nice hug for my little buddy.
Hugs are over, now I'm gonna getcha ya!

What's in poop?

I'm not sure if you've ever wondered that. I can say I know what is in Quinten's poop. Let me start off by saying he puts a lot of stuff in his mouth. I have found bits of Taylor's sheepy in his poop before and a piece of the quilt my mom made him in there as well. And the odd piece of thread here and there. Today I noticed a bunch of thread and an ant sticker. No wonder he has been grunting lots lately. Try passing that. Poor kid. Sorry if I've offended anyone. I just thought it was interesting. Kids will eat the wierdest things.

Bathing suit shopping was no a success today. We are going to try next week and go to a swimwear shop. As long as I have something by the time I go on holidays I will be happy.

Tonight I went to a jewlery/bag party at my Aunt's house. My cousin and his wife teach in China and she makes her own bags and brought jewlery to sell. It was fun. It was nice just getting together with everybody. Thanks Jenn and Auntie Beth I had a good time.

So that was our day in a nutshell. I guess we will see what tomorrow brings. lol

Sorry

Sorry I haven't written a post for a few days. Nothing much has been happening.
Both kids have been really good lately. Taylor is just as silly as she normally is. Quinten stood by himself for the first time yesterday. It was only for a few seconds. He will be walking before we know it. Other than that nothing really new has happened. I'm back at the laundry thing. Laundry sucks. Oh yeah just so everyone is clear I do not wear granny panties. I've had some comments asking if I do and no I do not. Anyway that's about it. Hopefully tomorrow is more exciting. Tomorrow is bathing suit shopping day, that could be interesting. And not in a good way. I'm alittle afraid as to how I will look. Things just aren't the same anymore since having kids. I'm used to wearing a bikini and I don't think I am quite ready for that. The stretch marks are what is killing me. I will let you all know how it went. I am taking Chris with me and I know he will be honest. So till then have a goodnight.

I ripped my pants

So the had for there I was bouncing in the bouncer, at Noah's Birthday party, and I ripped my pants. I was finally able to fit into these cords that I haven't been able to wear for a very long time. They were old. Missing buttons and fading in the butt. What do I decide to do, a scissor kick. Rip! Oh well at least the guys had a little fun making fun of me. Are you wearing underwear was one of the comments I heard. Oh well if you can't laugh at your friends who can you laugh at. I'm used to being laughed at.

Today I had some errands to do and Taylor was soooo good for me. Things have been very calm around here for the last couple of days. It has been great. No yelling, tantrums, still a bit of whining but what almost 3 year old doesn't whine.

I had QuinQuin weighed and measured today. HE is 16 lbs 10 oz. and 26 " long. Okay 26" short. lol!!!! He is only 1 ounce heavier than Taylor when she was 8 months old. I have such small kids. Does that mean they will be the kid who gets picked on? I hope not. I think The Boy is destined to be shorter than his sister. I just a feeling that's all. Who knows, only time will tell.

I had one last coffee with Joy before she leaves to visit her family. I am really going to miss her. She will be gone for 6 weeks.

Well I had better Jet before blogger kicks me off. It is giving me some kind of warning and I don't want to lose my post. Later!

Feet

It is so nice to have nice looking feet again. For those you of who have seen my feet know that I have gross feet. They are always dry and cracking. I have been known to use the pumice thing at the table with family and friends around. I can get a nice little pile of shavings. Well my feet don't look like they used to. I can't remember the last time they were this smooth. Heather, you might even like them now. I even picked pink nail polish. Pink, I picked pink. Chrissy that will please you I'm sure. I hope I can keep them this nice. It might take some work. How many times can I say nice? 5 times to be exact.

My Life

I'm sorry to those of you out there that might think my kids are like God to me. They are, a major part of my life. Somebody wrote an anonymous comment asking me that. No they are not but they are very important to me. I am a stay at home mom. What else am I suppose to write about? Well here's one for you mr. or miss anonymous. I got my braces today. Only on the top teeth for now. I have what is called a deep bite. Right Joy? Anyway it means that if I had both bottom and top I would end up biting the bottom braces off. So far they are little bit soar. More tender than anything. Hopefully it will ease up in a few days. It's actually tolerable. So there you have it a post not about my kids. Tomorrow though I will continue the writing about the life of my kids. If you don't like it don't read it. I'm sorry to my regular readers but I sometimes get upset over anonymous comments that are negative. The fun will return tomorrow.

Yep, poop

I forgot to write in my last post about todays poop. This is for you Nathan. You've been asking for more poop stories so here you go. Taylor has had diarreha because of the antibiotics she was one. Pull ups don't hold alot so we have been trying to bung her up with milk and bananas. Well Chris went to change and found it had leaked out of her pull up. That was fine. Cleaned her up, gave her a bath. We came down stairs to find it all over one of the kitchen chairs. I hope Prosolve did the trick. Nobody will want to come over anymore. If you are becoming first time parents I suggest getting washable furniture. Our chairs have taken a beating. So there is my latest poop story. Yuch!

What a deal

So there I was shoppping at Walmart for diapers when I came across a big box of size 3 pampers. They were all by there lonesome. The boxes on the shelf had only 104 diapers but this box had 144. There was price sticker on it, to mark it down. As I got closer I saw it said $7.00. Woo hoo diapers for $7.00. Some of you maybe thinking so what. This box of diapers is normally $40 so what a deal. I am still super excited about it. Pretty sad when that is the highlight of my day. I'm always up for a deal.
Today QuinQuin and I went to make his Father's day present. I can't say what it is incase Chris reads this.
Yesterday was an interesting day. Joy and I made Spring rolls and Sushi. We had a lot of fun. It was good too. I suck a rolling them. I'm no pro like Joy. I like to blame the Tronsgard shaking hands. Then last night Taylor go into the vaseline. Let me tell you, not so easy to get out. She spent today looking like a greasy mess. Hopefully it will only take a few more washes to get back to normal.
So that has been our lifes the last couple of days. Tomorrow is brace face day. That is what Chris is already calling me. I will post a picture once the fun is done.
Till then Goodnight.

What is she saying?

So I was talking to my Dad today and he thought a good caption for the picture in yesterday's post would be," QuinQuin you're lucky Mommy is watching, otherwise I would be smacking you right now." Are there any other comments as to what Taylor could be thinking or saying? This could be fun.

Play time

Taylor is finally starting to play with Quinten. Look how nice she is being to him. Normally when he gets in her way, he gets boncked on the head. Seeing them playing together made me well up. It was such a nice moment. Man they grow up so fast.

No potty today but that is okay. She knows what is going on and in her own time it will be done. Nothing much else happened today. We went for a walk with Joy and her boys. Got Starbucks. I love coffee.

Oh I do have something new. My laundry is finally done. Just in time for it to begin again at the end of the week. What a great feeling. My house is clean and I'm trying to keep it that way. Chris is off starting tomorrow for the next 3 days. Life is good.

Ice Cream

Jordan and Kristen went to Ben & Jerry's in Vermont and brought back the little monsters some souviners. Here are pictures for you guys( Unkie Jordan and Unkie Kristen) Taylor doesn't seem to want to call Kristen Auntie.
And another picture of The Boy caged in. he is loving to stand and I think will walk before I am ready.

Potty Dance

Well we had another successful potty experience. Taylor wanted to go all by her self, then came running to tell me she had peed. When I got to the potty she should me what she had done and started playing, yes, with her pee. Well we got her cleaned up, the floor cleaned up, and her clothes changed. Then came the potty dance and treats. Hopefully she will start using it more often. She is always telling me, "I peed mommy or I pooped mommy". Just a little warning before it happens would be nice. Yeah Taylor! I am so proud of you. Hopefully it will continue tomorrow.

Laguna Beach #2

Nope I didn't get to watch Laguna Beach. I did, however, tape it. I know how sad is that. What can I say. I watched it this morning. Oh the life of the rich and spoiled teenagers. no thanks.

Laguna Beach

I need to admit something. I am starting to get addicted to Laguna beach. I know, it is so sad. When you're home alone you get interested in these things. In case you don't know what the show is about, here is a short description of the show. It takes place in Laguna Beach. It is about these teenagers and there lives. All I have to say is that I am glad I'm not at that stage ofmy life anymore. Man they are spoiled. If you want to check it out it is on MTV Canada. It is on tonight from 10:30-12:00. I will need to convince Chris that we need to watch it. He is now home so I will have to do some serious negotiating.

I was able to do a little sunbathing this aft. Till QuinQuin woke up and was screaming at the top of his lungs. I'm sure the whole neighbourhood could hear him. Poor little guy is cutting his 5th and 6th teeth. He cut his 3rd and 4th yesterday.

Anyway because Chris is home I'm going to have some ice cream with him. Have a great friday night.

Messy Man!

I think we have messy kid #2. He is just as messy as Taylor. Some siblings can be so different, but so far both my kids are pretty similar. Does that mean he is going to want to take his clothes off constantly? I think I know why Taylor is always taking her shirt off. She is hot. Today she looked like she was burnt but she wasn't. Just super hot. Poor kid, she gets that from me. And Quinten is a pretty sweaty kid already too. Oh the future they have. They will be heat nazi's. Even in the winter I get really hot. Chris always wants to turn the heat up, I tell him to go put a sweater on.

Taylor and I played out in our newly fenced in yard. We don't really have anything back there to play with so she got bored of kicking the ball pretty quick. I think she was just excited to go and run around back there. We have no plans to put up our own tent city but I think a type of lattice will be erected to block out the neighbours a bit. I hate to say that, but sometimes you want a little bit of privacy. Plus they are always looking in our yard.

The day was good. Nice and hot. And I think the night light idea is working. She was asleep pretty quick tonight and hasn't gotten up yet. Or it could be that she is really tired. Times up for me. Till I write again.

Ciao!

Fenced in!

Yeah we finally have a fence. It isn't quite finished. Chris will put the gates in on his next days off. It now looks like we have an actual yard. Hopefully it will keep the garbage out and most of the weeds from our neighbours yard. They have no grass, only a weed yard. Thanks Devin for helping Chris out. It was nice of you to use your days off to help us out. So thanks again, and again, and again.

I thought I should clarify. I'm not sure if it came across that I put Quinten in the big part of the cart or what. I had him in the front part designed for kids to sit in. So I'm really not sure what those ladies were talking about. I know I'm not a bad mother even if I joke about it.

Last night I went over to Joy's to pick up my Epicure stuff. It was so exciting. I know what you're thinking. Spices, you're excited about spices? Yep. Think of all the stuff I can make.

Anyway before I bid you farwell for the day, I would like to send out a thank you to Nathan for teaching Taylor to point and laugh at me. ( This is when we need something for sarcasm). It is greatly apprectiated. Ha!

Have a wonderful warm day. Maybe I will have to take advantage of my newly fenced in yard later on.
